This is why it works
16 years gripped by cocaine.
Nothing worked - until I stopped trying to recover.
For 16 years, cocaine ran my life. The first eight years were pure chaos - without a single thought that anything was wrong. I was "having fun". It seemingly fixed all of my internal emotional problems. I was reckless, went through life like a tornado, and was oblivious to any consequences.
But then my son was born, and I knew I had to become the man he needed me to be - for him, for my family, for the life I wanted to provide for them. So I decided it was finally time to stop using cocaine.
I always believed I could stop whenever I wanted. I always believed I had a strong mindset and could do it on my own... and I tried for 2 years using pure willpower. I was confronted with the harsh reality that I couldn't stop... relapse after relapse. So then I asked for help and did what I was told to do... rehab, therapy, SMART Recovery - none of that worked... so then I walked into the rooms of CA/AA/NA.
Six years in and out of Cocaine Anonymous. Three sponsors. Three full passes through the 12 steps. And I relapsed every single time. They wanted me to call myself powerless. An addict. Diseased for the rest of my life. I disagreed with every word of it - but I kept going back, because I didn't know there was another way. I almost lost my family. I almost lost everything.
None of it worked, because none of it was empowering, I hated the process.
So I backed myself and walked away from traditional recovery completely. I found a 4-day identity transformation summit - addiction wasn't mentioned once. It didn't need to be. I had my breakthrough there, then spent weeks obsessively reinforcing it, and conditioning it into the man I am today... totally free from addiction and more than that, totally free from negative, disempowering thoughts and feelings. Peace is true freedom and success.
I haven't been the same since. Nothing triggers me. I can stand in the middle of a party with people doing lines around me and not even be tempted - because that's just not who I am anymore. I didn't manage the addiction. I intentionally rewired my brain.
My addiction was cocaine, and this system is exactly what set me free. Now this is my life's work: helping people break free from cocaine the same way - without losing years to it like I did, without hitting rock bottom first. That's what the next 6 weeks are.
Identity. Rewired.
